My cycle has been consistent up until 2 months ago then my cycle went from 21 days to 28 to 30 days. About a week in a half after I ovulated my nipples were very sore but I had no cramping & normally my breast gets sore & I start cramping before I come on but I never did & now I'm a few days late, I took a pregnancy test but it was negative. Did I take the test too soon or is it a false alarm?

Yes you took the test too soon, First 3 days is not "late" sorry but many women wish that they were always within 2 or 3 days. Your body was already changing before since cycle were longer last month also. Wait about another week and if still no period, try testing then.
