My friend stole over 500 dollars worth of things from a garage. The police went to his parents house and found all the items except one. He turned himself in today with the last item he had taken. My question is, will he most likely serve jail time and if so, what is the maximum punishment? He also got arrested for possession of a controlled substance about three years ago but I think he is off probation.
