Well we have had 2 weeks without rain and 3 days of 90 degree heat ,the grass over my septic tank has dyed. Could this mean it needs pumped out?

It means it has not been watered. Remember "The grass is always greener over the septic tank "

Sure sounds like where I live in Florida. You lost the grass over your septic tank and I lost my fruit trees, Good luck, TomWhen was the tank pumped last?
