I have an ergonamic toilet. Every minute or so it makes a hissing sound as if it is trying to load water. It's making me crazy...

Does it have a traditional tank with a flush valve? If so check to see if the flapper is closing completely. For a test add food coloring to the tank, wait 30 minutes and see if the water in the bowl is slightly colored.
