Sexual activity in a hot tub
I was straddling my boyfriend as we were kissing in a hot tub that was 102¤F and it has chemicals in the pool, we had our swimsuits on, and he ejaculated in the water not in me. What are the chances of getting pregnant?

Tell me, and use your common sense

Couldn't they swim through the water or would the temperature and chemicals kill the sperm?

Did the hot tub get cleaned and sterilized?

I believe that's what are the chemicals in the water are for

But those chemicals won't kill sperm?

Jow123, do you know how pregnancy actually happens?

Won't the hot temperature and the bromine in the water kill the sperm before they have a chance to go anywhere? Yes I do know but I've heard of stories that it has happened but I don't know how truthful they are.

Sperm do not have radar. They cannot swim from the water up your vagina to make you pregnant. They aren't smart enough to do that.

But they do have chemotaxis which help them find the egg, right? Would they still be in effect if they were not placed inside the vagina?

Don't worry, you cannot get pregnant in this manner.

Thank you. If you could show me a website or a book or something that explains how could you send me a link? I've been trying to figure this out and learn more about why not.

The hot tub chemicals and the heat would kill the sperm before they got very far. The environment is totally inhospitable.

And sperm don't swim that far and that fast plus would not be able to move against the currents, or get though the swim suit most likely.

Sperm are not like fish. They don't swim upstream to spawn.

The hot water and chemcials would kill them immediately.

No, sperm are not going to swim through the water to get you pregnant.

Even in a vagina the sperm has to go through a lot to get to the egg, never mind through hot water and a swim suit.

One more question... I was straddling him and slightly humping him so our my vagina was rather close but it wasn't on him when we went off. However, like I said we had clothes on and we were in the hot water with chemicals. Would the sperm still die pretty quickly and have a hard time making through the clothes?

Yes, it will die quickly as the chemicals and the heat will kill the sperm virtually instantly.
