Laws about custody of an unborn child
The father of my unborn child and I don't get along at all. We broke up, never were married or engaged and I moved out. Now that we don't speak I want to move on and live life but doing so my job will take me out of the state. Is there anything that he could do to stop me from leaving?

Until the child is born the father has ZERO legal rights.

Not until the child is born, once the child is born, he can file for custody, joint custody, visits and all rights.

You made a decision to have sex with him. You got along then. Now you have to live with the consequences of that decision.

He can initiate court action before the child is born, but no ruling will be made until after the child is born. But if he does file, he may be able to force the child to return.

It all depends on where you live and the laws and mood of the courts.
