    Agency agreement
    Hi
I am sellling my house and have found a private buyer, a good friend of the family. However I have signed an agency agreement to give the agent sole selling rights.
The property is however in both my and my partners names and only I have signed the agreement is there anyway I can get out of the agreement as the estate agent has done very little work.
    Many Thanks

    Tom

I don't think what you have done is exactly kosher. You have signed an agreement with an agency, they will want their commission. It doesn't matter who signed, you took responsibility and first come first served.

This means a situation you will have to solve with the agency; your listing price and what you sold it to a relative for.

    Legally speaking, the agency rules.
