Should I tell my parents about my girlfriend?
Im 13 and I have a girlfriend... She has liked me forever and I started liking her... My parentss know she has been "chasing me" foreever and they don't exactly like her and say "keep running" if my family gets in. A conversation about it. Right now it's a secret that we like each other but I
Want to start to go to thhe mall, skating and stuff with her but what's a good thing I can tell them to hide I'm with her? Please help!! Thanks!

I hate to tell you, but I seriously doubt that you will be able to hide this.

You say that it's a secret, but it seems to be the worst kept secret that I have ever heard. Your parents' "keep running" comment seems more like a joke than genuine disapproval.

    Just tell them.

Usually parents have a reason as to why they don't like someone; sometimes for reasons that you can't understand just yet. Can you think of a reason why they wouldn't like you to be dating her? (other than the obvious too-young-to-date reason which is very valid)

Tell your parents, hiding it will not only complicate things, but if your parents find out they will feel cheated and lose respect. It's best to just come clean and tell them.
