    Shifting problems
Hi: I have a JD 345. When I press on the forward peddle, it goes forward and it stays going forward even after I take my foot of the forward peddle. I have to step on the brake to stop it. I will not go into reverse, when I step on the rev. peddle. If I push on the brake peddle and rock my foot to the reverse peddle, it will go in reverse. It is like a valve is sticking?? Any help? Thanks and have a good day!! jim in INDY [email protected]

    Hi,
You may want to check the damper to see if one end is broken off. See also JDParts for the breakdown of the drive:
