Hello. I am 20 years old. I'm not on any birth control. My period is 12 days late and I have never been late. Last week I did have some nausea and I am very bloated. I went to the doctor and the urine test came back negative so she prescribed provera but I refuse to take it until she does a blood test. Could I still be pregnant?

If you've had unprotected sex, there is a chance you could be pregnant.

But if the urine test came back negative then chances are you're not pregnant. Take the urine test, as it is most accurate about 2 weeks after you miss your first period

I took the test at the doctor at 8 days late. Should I just wait and see if I get my next period or test in a few my days?

You can if you want to, but there are many other reasons for missing a period other than being pregnant, one of them being very stressed out. So my advice would be to relax, and wait for the natural course to take place. You can take another home pregnancy test to ease your mind (at this point the test would be quite accurate).
