I'm sorry that your daughter did not find the school to offer what she had hoped. There are many excellent boarding schools and it's unfortunate that she found the experience to be less than she (and you) had hoped. During the year did you have the opportunity to meet with her dorm head and her academic advisor to discuss your daughter's concerns? As for why they haven't called you since just a guess, but I suppose the school believes that ultimately this was your decision (after all, your daughter is a minor), and perhaps through those previous discussions were well aware that you were contemplating such a change.
