How to remove a moen single handle shower faucet
I have a Moen single handle shower faucet and there are no retainer clips or allen screws to remove the houseing. There was one screw for the handle that easily came out and there two screws for cover plate that can not be removed all the way because it hits the housing that the handle attached to. So how do I remove this housing to get to the valve. It seems as though the housing is actually the valve itself. I have pulled and pried and tried WD40 and tried to find a screw in the hole where the handle was screwed into. I am at wits end here. I can send pictures if needed, but can some one please let me know how this housing can be removed so I can then remove the valve.

    Thanks in advance,
    Todd C.

Hey Todd, As you can see, simply remove the handle and the two screws. If you wish to remove the valve you may have to cut it out of there, Good luck, n Tom

This great in theory, except there there is not a second screw in the housing. Do have any similar drawings. The house is a David Weekly home that is almost 5 years old, but when I look on the moen website I can't find a match. The one you sent was the closest match I have seen so far. Do you have any other suggestions?
