What is the name of the movie and the main character - I remember the plot
The movie appears to take place in Mexico (don't know if it was shot there or not). It is about a man who is prominent in the community who is being questioned about the murder of some young girls who were killed and then placed in a position to appear to be sleeping. The man is older (looks like Karl Malden - but I can't find it in his bio) and has a young wife of latin descent. They sleep in separate rooms because she is jealous of what she thought was a "look" he gave her niece at Christmas one year. They sleep in opposite sides of the house.
He found one of the girls when he was out running in the morning. He is also a photographer (hobby)
He is questioned in the murders and has flash backs - he is slowly convinced that he is the one who killed the girls by repeated questioning. His wife won't tell anything to the police, but she finally gives permission for them to search their home where the police find pictures of the murdered girls prior to their murders.
The repeated questioning and the more evidence that appears to link him to the girls the more he starts to question if he did it or not. His wife tells the police about the incident with her niece after the pictures are found and starts to believe he did it too. He finally starts to admit to the murders and while confessing the true murderer is captured with photos of the dead girls in his car - posed just as the police found them.
The movie ends with him totally in shock and confused he walks out of the police station and there is a festival of some sort going on. His wife now knows he didn't do it and wants to reconcile but he just turns away feeling betrayed - they both sit down (he looks like he's still in shock) but they don't sit together and the movie ends.
The movie is several years old - maybe older but aired on a spin off channel of our local TV station several months ago.
I think the woman is still acting and I think the man is no longer or may be dead.
