Why aren't there more questions here?
I see so many questions like, "should I text my boyfriend's brother and tell him I love him?" but not many questions at all in the religion section. Does everyone else see that too? The questions that are here are very old. Is there something that can be done to boost the traffic here?

    Peace...

You are seeing an infintisimal part of the whole site. Boost the traffic? Go to unanswered questions at the bottom of your page and click. I think there are 5 pages of questions, all different categories that all experts have to get to. I go there regularly and see if I can answer some.

Religious questions are usually not high traffic, and the ones that do come in are usually blogs and turn into arguments.

We have never really ever had a large amount of religion or Christianity question, we get more Islamic questions. I would say part of it, and I know I will ruffle some feathers come from what could be viewed as a somewhat unfriendly atmosphere toward Christianity,

If someone with a very strong Christian view point goes to relationship, or dating and would quote a bible verse, their post is reported as preaching, or they are told by many that there are religion boards for that, and that they should not be preaching on other boards.

But then on the Christianity board, anyone can come and give non Christian answers, say there is no god and that is or has to be acceptable. So yes I can see why there may not be as many Christians coming to ask questions or hang out on the boards.

I most likely get away with a little more of moral view points since I have been here so long, but even so, I would bet there are PM about me and behind my back about some of the things I post.

This is of course merely my opinion of what I have seen though out time.

We had several very prolific question askers and discussion prompters. Two have died (we think), another is developing his own web site, and the others have more important things to do in their real life (work, raising a family, etc.). Also, many of the people who used to hang out here have been members of other Q&A sites and their Christianity boards. Every topic under the sun has been discussed more than once, so after a while, it gets kind of boring unless new blood, a new face/name, shows up to enliven things.

Feel free to ask a question or get a discussion going. There ARE interested people waiting in the wings to see activity on this board.

    I have answered questions.

My point is that most of the religion ones were initiated four years ago and now someone posts to it four years later. I don't want to come off as complaining, I just thought there would be more questions asked here in the religion and Christianity sections on a regular basis, that's all.

Well, of course religious questions can turn into arguments, just like any other topic. Considering the role that religion/no religion play in people's lives, I just figured there would be more dialogue. I like the site and the varied backgrounds of people that come here.

    Peace...

Yes, I can relate to that. I was a super moderator (as a Buddhist) on an inter-faith religious forum and by far the anti-Christian rhetoric surpassed all others, although I tried my best to keep things on a clean and level playing field.

Unfortunately, I have found that most people that I meet in real-life and online have very closed minds and aren't really interested in sharing viewpoints. I used to be one of them. I used to go to Satanist and left-hand path boards and try to "save" them. Misguided, of course, but we are human after all :)

    Thank you Fr.

Yes, father chuck is our savior in some cases, our buffer. He doesn't judge, advises.

Sharing viewpoints, closed minds, is that what you have found here, I hope not.

We have a couple of really great paranormal experts. Paranormal is one of my boards.

Do as I suggested and go to unanswered questions. We are here to help as much as we can and perhaps you can help out, become interested, whatever in some of those questions. Yes we get a lot of women wondering if pregnant, wondering about their relationships and we have some great experts for that too.

Another possibility is that people who believe in Christianity are very sure of their beliefs so they don't have many questions.

Or it's literal believers vs. the rest of us Christians regarding "Were there six 24-hour days during Creation?" and "Was Jonah really swallowed by a great fish?" and "Should I allow my child to go treat or treating on Halloween?"

Well we certainly get enough questions about demons, ghosts, and dark shadows that follow people. Certainly not making light of these because there are some very serious questions along these lines at times that are really quite interesting and worthy of discussion.

Yes I agree. I only smile because it really is a big part of my life.
