    Plants for poor drainage areas
I'm looking for plants that will survive the poor drainage area under our deck in the early spring and bloom June -Sept. In the summer months it is very dry clay soil. I want to do a raised bed, but I'm wondering if the roots will get soaked through the winter and early spring and not come back the next year? I read somewhere that Iris bulbs do well in wet areas, will they survive in the area in the early spring when they area is really wet?
