Out of curiosity, while I was employed, I paid my ex wife through the DCSE in VA roughly 314/every two weeks (didn't mind that's my damn kid and my responsibility). But After about the first four month's started getting money back saying I overpaid. I told them put it on the tab as it's going to my daughter and that's all that really does matter. Well Things went well for a few months and then my daughter (9 at time) asks me on the phone, "daddy how much do you give mommy? And mommy want's to know why she isn't getting the full payment?" (Ok I'm poed on two accounts one my daughter thinks I'm just there for money and two where is the money going that I paid.). So after countless letters and more so phone calls (which by the way Can't ever get through as it's always busy even after hours). My ex and I talked and we gave up trying to figure out what's going on. I keep thinking the department is skimming some of that money (one week she would get 127 the next 78 or a little bit more but never equaled to the main amount). So the Questions in tow is, One: Where is that other money going to? And Two: I know their busy, but are the phone lines personally made busy so none can get help with a worker?

Does she collect any welfare or government assistance, if so, some may be going to pay them back for some of those costs. She ( silly not you) is entitled to a complete accounting of money paid and money sent.

Possible she does not believe you, so when you pay or if it is held out of check, send her a copy of it as proof. So if she is not being paid correctly by them, she can address it with them.

She lives in a government subsidized apartments, As for food stamps and welfare, I don't think she does (as her now husband) is working full time. As for EBT, She might, as my daughter is still under my last name (I'm Non custodial parent). I sent her a copy of my paycheck a few months back and she never said anything. I am starting to think your right though as I feel she still doesn't believe me.

If she is saying these things, in front of the child most likely ( and it is just my guess) when child asks for something, she tells child, well if you father paid what he was suppose to we could have more, ( I hear it almost every day from parents around the side walk in the shopping mall) ** hope she does not.

I would make two copies of every payment, one you keep in a binder for you, and one sent to her. If you have the child and it is mentioned, say I will not argure but here is the proof.
