Benjamin moore need dilution to paint
    Hi
    I have question.
My new employer told me to I need dissolve every paint (benjamin moore, Behr) over 3 servings of water on a portion of the paint, regardless of the type of surface (walls, wood), to the quality of the painting was a professional.
This is not my first job as a painter. I was Used many paint before, and usually do not dilution paint to get a very good effect.
I ask because I want to dispel my doubts.
    Thanks

Sounds to me like the Employer is attempting to pad their profits. Because there is generally never a need to dilute latex paints for application. Not in any situation I have ever heard of anyway. Every Latex paint I've ever seen comes ready to apply.

The only time paint is diluted is when using spray equipment. If not it will glog the spray head.

If paint is old and thick, it can be thinned but ever so slightly.

And even if its sprayed.. it depends on the paint and the spray machine... I have a paint sprayer that I drop a hose into 5 gallon cans of paint and never needed to dilute it even then... and I was spraying Glidden, as well as Behr premium paints.

I have never used Benjamin Moore Paints.. but have no reason to believe they are different.

I've never had a head clog... but do have to clear the pickup strainer from time to time.
