I recently purchased this piece and have had no success identifying it. The signature is hard to read. I believe the first word is Van and the last starts with the letter M. I am not an art expert but I think it's a print although the signature looks real. I am hoping that someone may be able to help me identify the artist. Thank you in advance.

That looks like it says Van Morrison (the singer)... I think that's supposed to be an artists rendering of him... here's a picture of him...

That is what I thought it said too! I was just stumped on why it was signed like that. If it is supposed to be him, I guess I am curious if it is signed by him or the artist just put the title on there like that. Thanks for answering so quickly.

I was just looking that up too... here's a copy of his signature, this site says it is quite rare to find, but I don't think what is on your print is from him (I'm no expert on signatures though.. ), by the way welcome to the site!

Actually I did look up his signature and it is the same. And thank you for the welcome!

After more investigating, it appears this is a Van Morrison poster. It is a real signature (not saying it's authentic). The poster itself did not have this signature on it. I have only been able to locate one other. It does look like a poster when you look at it closely.
