You give him a 30 day notice to vacate. If he doesn't leave by the deadline, you go to court for an eviction order.
Make sure you are comfortable with the fact that he may never come back.
I have a phd (from experience only) in alcoholic sons and the one that came back in a box.
Not trying to be over dramatic or scare tactics-just the facts.
Does he drive--when he has been drinking? Just a matter of time.
Has he ever had professional treatment? Decide on these kinds of issues now -- it might be too late later. My situation wasn't exactly the same (similar) and we didn't know there was a problem - let alone how serious it was but the types of things that I have suggested that you think about before making your final decision are exactly the kinds of things I have been thinking about since we lost our son going on two years ago. It is none of my business how you handle it but I would be remiss if I didn't let you know where this could lead.
