My ceiling fan already has a receiver and a remote. The remote stopped working and I am pretty sure it is the remote and not the receiver because the red light on the remote doesn't come on. (Yes, I tried replacing the battery).
Can I just buy a new remote? Or will I need a particular receiver that matches the new remote?
