    Child support
My ex is self employed & will NEVER make over $20,000 per yr. I make significantly more money. He has a really good atty that has turned the residential parenting to joint. So now I have to pay. Are their any laws on the books that provide relief or a support ceiling? He is married and his wife supports him also.

First, any question on law needs to include general locale as laws vary buy area.

Child support is generally awarded according to formula covered by state laws.

Too bad... welcome to the world most divorced MEN have to live in... its only fair the wife pays when she is the major bread winner just like MEN have had to do for decades when they were.

Hate to tell you... but this is exactly what is fair.

I guess someone has to pay for the pathetic losers in the world. A spouse, male or female should only qualify for support if their household qualifies for state support. Instead of a Robinhood society where you steal from the rich to pay the poor.

Excuse me? And what about the child in your world? The purpose of child support is to help a parent raise a child. Don't forget about the child.

When two people have a child they have to accept responsibility for that child which includes financial responsibility.

I'm sorry but your attitude needs some adjusting here. That could be why the court ruled as they did.

I have always supported my children; but yes, I do need to adjust my attitude about it.
