    Hello , Doctor>>
few days ago i fell on my back up the stairs and i could not speak at the moment ,the pain was severe and lasted for about minutes ,but my back still hurt even after a week . I started to sleep and sit in a certain position , and can not bend too or i will suffer severely . In addition when i sit for long periods For example,(long drive) and then stand up I feel a sudden and severe pain so my question is whether my back is broken? I apologize for my weak my language :$

It could be, without a x-ray it's hard to say. It's more likely that when you fell you damaged some muscles and nerves that run through that area. Nerve damage particularly can cause intense pain in differing areas of the body. Do you have any numbness or tingling anywhere? Where on your back does the pain seem to be coming from?

Hello Gernald, Thanks for your quick response :)
No I don't but when I fell out I could not speak .
The pain is in the center almost in my lower back its hard to tell .

When you fall on your back it has a tendency to "knock the wind out of you" which could be attributed to your lack of ability to speak. If you hit your head there would be more concern about the lack of speech, but since you've gotten your speech back and don't appear to have hit your head I wouldn't be too concerned about that as opposed to the pain in your back.

If there's no numbness it's good. Even so sometimes tearing muscles and ligaments can damage nerves which would still hurt quite bad. I'd suggest trying to see a doctor if you can. If not I'd say rest and apply a heating pad and ice (switch between the two) when you can and take some tyleno/pantanol or another anti-inflammatory. The pain probably won't go away very quickly because these things take time to heal. But if it hurts really bad then you should seriously consider seeing a doctor.
