My boyfriend and I just got engaged. I currently live in Atlanta,GA and he lives in Riverside CA he is currently on probation in the state of California for a felony charge. How would we go about getting his probation transferred from California to Georgia?

He talks to his probation officer and fills out a form asking for the transfer in writing.

Some cases will want him to have any counseling or other progams done before they will approve.

He will provide them info on where he will live, and if he has a job arranged.

The application goes to Georgia and they have to sign off to accept him. The California has to approve it. It can take one to three months
