    Bearings
    A ship leaves a harbour h and sails to port a 45km away on a bearing of 064degrees. The ship then changes coarse and sails to another port b 60km away on a bearing of 285degrees.
    a,sketch the ships journey showing ;
    North direction
    The bearing 064degrees and 285degrees
    The points h a b
    Calculate the distance h b 8km to two decimal places.
    Calculate the bearing of h from b to the nearest degree

    Like the problem says - draw a sketch. You can use vector addition to determine point B's x and y components relative to point H, and thus B's distance and bearing from H.
