    Hurt tenant
My house has a straight stair with 14 steps. If my tenant falls down from stair and gets hurt, do I have any responsibility ?

    Thank you.

Possibly. If your conduct in the design, construction, maintenance, or repair of the stair caused the fall you could be responsible. But the mere fact that it is a "straight stair" wouldn't ipso facto make you negligent (unless possibly it was not constructed to code).

Your responsible stems from negligence. If there was something on the stair that shouldn't have been there or some maintenance that wasn't performed on a timely basis. Then you could be liable.

If you think the tenant will file a claim report it to your insurance.
