I'm currently 7 months pregnant with our first baby. Me and my partner have been together on and off for the past 2 years. Lately, I've been having money problems, struggling to pay my rent etc. My partner says he cares and that he will help me to pay, but every time he gets money he wastes it. Either on gambling machines or out drinking. When I mention to him about this, telling him to please save his money, he tells me that its his own money and he can do what he wants with it. He is threatening to leave me, saying I'm trying to control him... But at the end of the day, all I'm thinking of is our baby. Please help!

If you are living together it is no longer "his money" and he needs to step up to the plate.

I had to learn the hard way... don't depend on anyone but yourself... if he is becoming a financial burden to you and your baby kick his butt to the curb... I know that is easier said than done, but you need to think about yourself and your child first. Maybe a dose of tough love will get him to step up to the plate and take responsibility or he will cut and run. Either way it will show you what kind of man he really is... Any man can be a father but it takes a real man to be a dad.
