Do you mean1,000 BTUH (British Thermal Units per Hour)? If so it would helpful to know the location of the house and the size of the three rooms. We are talking about a window airconditioner--right ? 1,000 btu's is not much cooling. Look at name plate again. Does the ac operate on 120 volts or 240 volts? Think you may have 10,000 BTUH unit?

No such thing as 1000 volts in a house. 100 amps? What is this for?

I will agree, 1000 does not match up to any number, if it is a air conditioner you are talking about it would have to be 10,000

If it was voltage, well, are you installing a "electric chair" to do your own executions, perhap

If you are talking about air conditioning you need at least 12,000 btu's (1 Ton) per 600 square feet of living space as a rule of thumb; however, a room with a lot of window space facing south with no shade would need a lot more, as would a room with many people in it (Each person equals a 100 watt incandescent bulb in heat output.). A kitchen needs slightly more airflow to handle humidity.
