About 6 weeks ago, I had unprotected sex with my fiancŽ 3 day before my ovulation time. Two weeks later I had a blood pregnancy test done. It came back negative. I started having period-like cramps, but my period never came. I am 3 weeks late. I'm very regular and have never been late before. I decided to take a equate brand pregnancy test a few days ago. I took it in the am and it came back with a very very faint negative. Then I took another one a day later and it was a very very faint negtive. I know a line is a line. My breasts are very tender and I'm having cramps. No period yet. Could I be pregnant? We hope so! Thanks so much. :)

Did you mean to say that the tests showed a very faint "positive" instead of negative? If so, and if you read the results in the time specified on the test, then you likely are pregnant. This will have to be confirmed however.

If you did indeed mean to say that the results were negative, then it may be that a positive just didn't register yet, or you may be having an off cycle. Sometime a period may be late or you may skip a month altogether. If that is the case, you could try another test in several more days, or wait until your next period is due and see what happens.
