    Water pressure "hiccups"
About 3 months ago my kid took a shower when the power was out. We have a well that is 10 yrs old. I noticed a couple of months later that a spigot outside was left on but hooked to a garden hose with sray nozzle. Spigot has one of those "pressure relief collars" (don't kow what it is called). Ever since then when the water is turned on we have about 3 minutes. Of presssure before the water flow stops momentarily (like 1-2 seconds) and then kicks back in (I believe when the pump comes on) with good water pressure that gets stronger and stronger, then gets a little weaker and 5-6 minutes later "hiccups" again. Does my pressure tank need adjusting? Does it seem like something else? As far as I can tell the pump is not coming off and on all the time, only when the presssure drops to nothing for a split second. Thanks for any advice!

    Possibly a flowswitch problem.
