I received a heart attack in October of 06. I own my own business. Two question---Since I am not divorced yet, is my soon to be ex responsible for the doctor bills? And since it affected my income drastically , how would that effect my support and spousal payments? I am in New York

Not really. You BOTH are responsible for the medical bills. Spousal support is based on your present income. So, I spose it will make it less.

I don't see how your soon to be ex would be responsible for doctor bills. Furthermore, if the support payments are court awarded then they don't care what your income is, you have to pay.

Sorry , I meant to say "ae both of us responsible". And my payment was pende lite order based on my 04 taxes. Since it is a temporary order does it make much of a difference.
