Water leaking sporadically from dining room light fixture, two bathrooms above it!
We have 2 non leaking bathrooms above our dining room and have noticed several times water leaking from our dining room chandelier! It has happened several times when no showers are even running, no stains on dining room ceiling and we can't seem to isolate the leaky faucet?

Water travels and may take time to reach the light which would be the easiest way out. Don't use those bathrooms, if possible, for a couple of days. If u are still getting water, then it is possible u have a cracked pipe in the wall/ceiling. The only way to check it out would be to remove part of ceiling and examine the pipes.

If, after not using the bathrooms, u do not have any water u probably have a leak in one of the drains or waste line. Not knowing the layout, it may be possible to check plumbing through a closet or wall outside of baths. If not u will have to open up ceiling to check.

Thx so much for the quick feedback! We were afraid we'd have to go that route (cutting open the ceiling) but looks like we may just have to. Thx again.

Agree with Chuck, there is a leak somewhere. Be very cautious with water in the electrical system!
