I saved a blue bird fledgling from my dogs yesterday, and waited for the mom to come for a few hours. She didn't. So, I took him inside and attempted to feed him some dog food that a crushed up and soaked for a good hour. He didn't want to eat it. So, I made some sugar water to keep up his energy, and he drank it. He seemed like he wanted to sleep all the time, and it worried me. Now, he's just sitting there with his eyes closed and something odd in his throat. When I pick him up, he still moves a little, but he's getting weaker and weaker. What should I do? I've never taken care of a bird, and I don't want this baby to die because of me.
