No Hot Water to shower head, but Hot water to the Tub?
My husband and I just purchased a new house. We have found that the shower pressure in the bathroom is wonderful however once you have set the right temp from the tub spout and switch over to the shower no hot water makes it to the shower head. We can only turn off the cold water completely in order to take a hot shower. Why is the hot water not making it up to the shower head! Help?

The house is 50 years old, there is a separate turn knob for both hot and cold water. I will check on the brand name when I return home this afternoon.

Before we can answer your question we have to know the brand name of your valve. A model number would be nice. I'm assuming the diverter's in the valve body and not the tub spout. If this is a new house the fixtures should still be under one years warranty. Check with your contractor. Regards, Tom
