Last night I did 101 sit - ups & the day before that I did 25... How long do you think I should keep doing them if I want to lose at least 10 pounds?

If you want to be "fit" you design a life long program. You do 50 to 100 sit ups and push ups and other exercises every day for ever.

At almost 60 I do at least 50 of each every day, and some times 300 or more.

To lose weight, you control your diet, stop drinking soda, and sugar drinks, watch your fat intake, cut down on a lot of meats and plenty of exercise

You can do all the sit ups you want to, but if your diet isn't right, you won't lose that last 10 pounds. If you're judging by a scale, I would have to say stop. You're building your abs and muscle weighs more than fat. Sit ups are great though, but it does hit your hip flexors quite a bit. With your diet right, a little sugar is okay here and there, but not too excessive, I would exercise first thing in the morning when you get up. Your body would have burned most of the carbs you ate that day and your body will have no choice but to use fat for fuel to be able to function.
