1989 Honda Accord DX- won't start
I have a 1989 Honda Accord DX (carborated not fuel injected) which was having a problem with stalling and sputtering. Was having an intermittant stalling and sputtering problem while driving the vehicle. If I drive at about 30 MPH and low RPMs the car drives and sputters. If I try to accelerate or the 30 MPH or higher RPMs it starts to stutter and sputter and stall. Also when I pushed in the Clutch the idle would jump to between 2000 and 3000 RPMs.
I have replaced the distributor, plugs, wires and the coil. I believe that the ignitor was replaced with the Distributor (Correct?) . I do not see a CEL on the dashboard where the owner's manual says it would be. After replacing the above mentioned items now the vehicle will not start. It appears that the starter is turning over but I don't think there is any fuel.
Is it possible the DX did not have a CEL .
