    Property tax
I found out today for the past 5 years I been being charged taxes on a mobile home I do not own. I have never owned so I go to the tax office and the lady tells me they base it on what the park owner tells them.I asked is that legal for you to charge taxes to someone that the tittle isn't even in my name they said yes. Can anyone tell me if this is legal?

They haven't been sending you a tax bill for five years, you don't own the mobile home, and they don't have anything but hearsay to show that you do owe it?

Why worry about it? Ignore it.

Inform the tax collector that they are mistaken. Demand that they change their records and that if they de-rail your loan you will hold them accountable. You might want to get an attorney to write them such a letter.
