    Girl rejected me twice
Hey, this is my first question on askmehelpdesk so I hope everything is okay,

I met this girl a year ago (lets call her Laura), at first I did not think anything of her. Soon after she began to message me and we began to talk for long periods everyday. I introduced her to my friends and she joined into my circle of friends. We began to hang out outside of school and became very close. Soon after I started to like her but my friend that I introduced also began to like her. Knowing that he liked her I told both of them I would step down and let them be together. In the end she picked him. They dated for two weeks and my friend decided that she was not for him and they broke up. During this time me and her continued to talk and learned about each other and I started to like her more and more. After they broke up she began to get close to me once again and we hung out several times. A few weeks later we began to hold hands and hug every time we would hang out. She told me she liked me more than a friend but did not want to date me because she didn't want lose my friendship whenever I asked her about me. Recently while we were alone I gave her a kiss and we held it for a second but she pulled back. Later on the day she texted me saying that she doesn't want to date me and we should just stay as friends. I asked her if she ever even liked me and she said yes. I don't know what to do.

Do what she said... back off and just remain as friends. That's what she wants, that's about your only choice right now.

If you can not be happy just being friends, then stop being her friend, she may decide for more latter, but she may start dating someone else latter and still expect her to be your friend then still. ( can you ?)

Stop hanging out with her so much if it bothers you but she has already told you she does not want more
