I think my bed buddie and I are falling for each other. We are sharing a bed while we work this summer. He said he isn't gay and we have discussed this and that I'm bi. I have woken up to us cuddling and intimately holding each other. And comforting each other by rubbing each others backs and such just as a man and woman would if they were sleeping together. We are both lds. He went on a mission I did not. The element of attraction is still unknown to me! What makes a woman attracted to a certain type of man and what makes a certain type of man attracted to other certain types of men. What is the driving influences within? I want to know what to do. I'm scared

Sooo... you're both guys and you sleep in the same bed... you cuddle each other... intimately hold each other,, but he tells you he's not gay. Right. He has to have some tendencies because if he didn't, he wouldn't be doing that stuff with another guy.

If he is asleep and cuddles, it is his dreams, if he is awake and doing it, he has some gay or bi thoughts, straight men do not do this.

He's a picklesniffer even if he won't admit it... straight guys won't sleep in the same bed with another guy unless #1 they are both fully clothed, AND #2 he doesn't have someplace else to sleep.

It's not like men are incapable of sharing physical intimacy that isn't sexual! -- in former eras a greater degree of physical intimacy than we permit today - (see all the homophobic responses) -- It's possible that your friend just likes the physical closeness but doesn't have sexual feelings for guys. (YES it happens!) In other parts of the world it's perfectly acceptable to hold hands with another man, hug him, without being gay (not that there's anything wrong with being gay or bi) -- but this is kind of unlikely since you've discussed it with him (your bisexuality) and he wants to cuddle.

But none of that matters - you say you're bisexual and LDS -- that in and of itself is reason enough to have serious questions about your feelings. You both face a lot of uphill struggles with your peer group and within yourselves should you decide to go further with the attraction. There's a chance he isn't able to cope with the ramifications of having a same sex attraction (even if he has one for you) so if you fall in love with him -- what are you going to do?


**I'm taking an assumption here that you mean "Bi" but never-going-to-act-on-it (for your Religion) ?

I wish you lots of luck and encourage you to follow your heart -- be attracted to whomever you're attracted to but make sure it's someone who can reciprocate those feelings.
