    Losing virginity
How do you know when you have lost your virginity.
OK, I don't mean just having sex. I mean when people say you popped the cherry.

    This is what happened.

I was with my first boyfriend with whom I lost my virginity, that is what I thought. The frst time. It was uncomfortable. But then I got round it with time. I nevery lost any blood.

Then four years later. I was on my third boyfriend, we had sex and that was the first tme I had stains.
I am 100% sure it was not from my period.
The sex was one of the best I had ever had.
If I may say. The sex was not painful at all.
There was no roughness of any kind.

Does it mean this is when I lost my virginity and not the first time I had sex.

When you had penetration, you lost your virginity. Not everyone has bleeding when they first have sex. Spotting or bleeding during sex can come about due to irritation at the cervix, dryness, being near a period, having a polyp, having endometriosis, etc.

"Popping your cherry" is from when the hymen breaks/tears and there is some bleeding. It is incorrectly believed that this happens for every virgin. The hymen can be broken long before there is any sex.

When you have penile insertion you lose virginity. Popping your cherry means losing virginity.
