It will spit and sputter then shut off no matter how fast I'm going. I have changed the fuel filter and the battery/alternator is OK.

Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil. Apply silicone heat transfer compound to the back of the new ICM. If the problem persists, check the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting.
