Was this brown blood my period? Could I be pregnant?
Me and my boyfriend are sexually active and both 17 but we always use protection. He never comes inside me and I am on birth control. There have been times were we have had sex without a condom but we always stop and he puts a condom on. I am not trying to get pregnant and in fact do not wish to be. This passed month I took my pill everyday around the same time up until the point that we had sex. After we had sex, this was like the last week I was suppose to take my pills, I missed Thursday and Friday. We did not have sex at all when I missed. That Saturday was the last day before I started my "sugar pills" and I took the missed Thursday and Friday pills but never took the last Saturday pill. That Sunday, (the day after I took the two missed pills but not saturdays) I had a very dark brown light bleeding. This continued on for Sunday Monday and Tuesday it stopped. It didn't start back up again until Thursday and stopped again. Could this mean I am pregnant? On Sunday I had my regular light cramps the only thing different was the blood was dark brown. I am hoping this is only a response to me missing three days and then taking two right before I was suppose to be on my period. I do not wish to become pregnant and I do not have access to getting a pregnancy test, even though if I did take one it would probably be negative because it was too soon.

I really need an answer because if I am pregnant I don't want to start taking my birth control again Sunday because it might hurt the baby.

It is likely the brown discharge was due to the missed pills and it through off your hormone levels. Pregnancy, however, will always be a possibility even with birth control... just less likely. Keep in mind that he should always use a condom anytime he enters you to lessen the chances of an unplanned pregnancy even more.

Odds are low that you are pregnant, since you had been taking the pills on time prior to the sex, so continue with your usual schedule of pills.

If you do not have a period on schedule next month, try a pregnancy test at that time.
