What is the temperature of the air switch in a furnace?
I have to replace the hoses to the air switch for my furnace. The hoses I get are supposed to be heat resistant, but they keep melting. What is the temperature around the air switch? I can buy hoses that are rated 350 or 500 degrees. Do I need to spend the extra money to go up to 500 degrees? Thx. Greg

If you have a forced air furnace, you have more problems ------ dangerous and life threating problems. Not knowing what type of system you have or what hose your talking about makes it hard to trouble shoot. If you can give more info about your system it will help.

Yes, it is a forced air furnace, an old Heil system. The furnace doesn't turn on if the air pressure switch doesn't make. I just need to connect the small fan to the air switch.
    Thx. Greg
