    Dad's ashes
My dad has recently died, His wife is being a total cow and me and my siblings are wondering if we have any legal grounds to have my dads ashes/

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. This can lead to confusion. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

Generally a spouse is next of kin and would have control of his remains.

Unless he willed his ashes to someone else, in the will, no in most areas she gets them.

Why do you want to do with these ashes, anyway?

I mean, what are they good for?

We live in south wales and we want them so we can bury him and have closure. His wife is refusing to do this because she doesn't want us to have a.grave to visit.

This is "old" South Wales, in Britain, right? Not to be confused with New South Wales in Australia?

Put up a gravestone somewhere and visit it every week. When she asks you what you are doing, play dumb and tell her "we are visiting Dad's grave, of course." That should throw her for a loop. :)
