Is there a 30- 60 day notice that a landlord have to give to a tenant to increase his rent?

No... but generally they give you 30 day notice when you are month to month, they generally can't during a long term lease unless its specifically called out in the contract..

You either pay it or you move... how much they can raise it depends on where this is...

Normally it would be in the rental agreement, but you have to give a payment period. This is normally a 30 day notice

I did a little research and it states that:
The landlord must give you at least 60 days advance written notice if the rent increase is greater than 10 percent of the rent charged at any time during the 12 months before the rent increase takes effect.
A landlord's notice of rent increase must be in writing. The landlord may deliver
A copy of the notice to you personally. The rent increase takes effect in 30 or 60 days from the date the notice is delivered.

Where is this exactly... there are many places that don't have a limit on how much the rent can go up or how often.. (when on a month to month).. beyond what the market will bear. And others 30 days is all they have to give.
