May I claim for the tution fee in 1040NR-EZ
    Hi,

I came to US in spring 2005 on an F-1 student visa. I filed form 1040A for 2005 online and claimed hope credit and got all my tax for that year refunded.
Now I picked up form 1040NR-EZ, in which there was a question asking me which form did I use for last year.
My total wages is 15335 and I owe total tax of 688.

    My questions are:
    1) what should I answer for the question which form did I use last year?
    2) I paid $4500 tuition fee, is there any way I can claim for this expense in 1040NR-EZ?

    Thanks.

    KAB:

You filed incorrectly in 2005. You were not entitled to claim the education credit you in fact did claim. You should amend your 2005 return to fix that problem.

    1) Tell the truth: Form 1040EZ
    2) No.
