    Grass killer safe for trees
I have a front slope that is covered in low bush juniper trees, the problem I'm having is the grasses that come up through the trees. My lawn is above the slope and I think it's the seeds from the lawn grass that are taking over the juniper bank... I can't afford to have it removed to start over and up until now have been "shaving " it with a small weedeater.

Like all yard care, it's just a matter of giving the corn gluten meal the best chance to work. You do that by watering it into your lawn or garden at the right time for the weed you want to treat. Crabgrass sprouts in the springtime, so that's the time to apply this herbicide. After that first watering-in, you let the surface dry out; the best weed killer works even better if the new roots have little to drink.
