    Found new hardware error message
Found new hardware error message pops up every time the computer is turned on
Everything seems to be working OK
But on device manager check up
One problem - under network adapters one is highlighted yellow
And no name or info will display ( says unknown device)
Also when I try to remove message pops in saying - failed to uninstall device. The device may be required to reboot the computer

    Running xp professional

Have you installed the latest motherboard drivers? Double click on the unknown device, and select details tab.

For many devices, looking at the hardware id will give you a clue as to what it is. If you see "PCI" or "ACPI" as part of the string, then its probably a motherboard driver that you need.

For example, I have an asus MB, with an unknown device shown under Other devices.

I copied and paste the ID string into Google and found that it was the Asus AIBooster driver that I didn't install.

If your PC is working fine, i.e. internet, email, gaming, etc. then disable the device, and the found new driver wizard will go away.
