I have a hampton bay fan with remote. I think the receiver is bad. I went to the Home depot and they sold me a remote/rec. combo.can I bypass the uc7051r receiver and use this? If not does anyone have a wiring diagram for this receiver so I can try myself?

Yes and no. You do not bypass the old one, your remove it to make room for the new one. Remove the canopy and you should see it tucker into the hanger bracket. I'd check the wires before assuming it is shot. Let us know if you need help testing the old one or installing the new
