Weed control problem in Juniper garden. I have an area of about 600-750 sq ft covered with Pacific Juniper. The area was prepped with weed control material and mulch prior to planting several years ago. The Juniper have done well (slight slope in full sun) and are mature plants now. After the first year we have had a weed control issue. We have added mulch and thought the mature juniper would choke out most weeds. Not the case. We are getting a lot of grass and wild blackberry among others, in the juniper. What suggestions might you have. Are there any chemical or organic control methods that will not harm the juniper. Weeding this area by hand is tedious and quite laborious.
