Fluid lump formed on a newborn's head
Is it normal for a newborn to get a large fluid filled lump on their head after birth?

If it is not a cyst (which any physician should diagnose)... then it may be from prolonged labor and pressure of the head against the bones of the pelvis during the birthing process, most likely bruising and some fluid. If that is what has happened, the head may look "long or pointed". Will usually resolve itself in a few days. Newborns should be under the care of medical personnel who can differentiate between normal, usual, unusual, or highly unusual factors.
